As a first grade teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am teaching my students to excel beyond given expectations, and I am creating a love for learning through technology. Many of of my students are being raised in single parent households and receive a free lunch based on their socioeconomic status. My students are considered English learners and strive to learn.
From the minute my students walk in the door of my classroom I am greeted with smiling faces and a thrive to learn.
My students are eager and excited to be in school. I wish to install a passion for reading and the foundation skills needed to succeed within life and in the classroom. I love my class! My students are loving, energetic, creative, passionate and strive to learn and to be successful academically.
