Ours is a public school with 300 students from K to 5th grade. Located near the Great Smoky Mountains, our school has many students who enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, and camping. As the school librarian I see students who come in with their class, or who drop by to exchange books. I also lead our school's A.C.E. (Aerospace Connections in Education) program, serve as a STEM coordinator, and run our Robotics Club. In these various settings I see students explore their interests and discover new passions for books, computer programming, technology, and other areas. Because I work with the entire school, I am able to notice where our curriculum needs more support or where students are ready to go beyond the basics and really spread their wings. The projects I share on Ðǿմ«Ã½.org are designed to meet those needs.
