In our school right now, we are sharing a small set of our class novel. This limits the time we have to spend digging deep into the novel's elements and themes. This classroom set will allow each student in the class to have a full time novel so they can continue reading anytime of the day.
My students will be able to keep stick-notes in books as well! In our classroom, we have had many lessons about how to be a better reader. This includes understanding characters, reflecting, and predicting. This will let each student continue to make connections and keep their thoughts all in one place, their book.
