Some of my students have a hard time with math, especially with more abstract concepts. With the help of math manipulatives, students find it easier to learn the concepts. The hands-on learning helps them to develop a deeper understanding and for students to be able to apply the concepts in other situations. I want students to realize they can "do" math and it can be fun to learn. I also want to incorporate more reading in my classroom and would love to have some of the math reading books to be available to my students.
