These lock boxes and locks will help enhance our in-class curriculum by allowing students to practice their chemistry skills in a unique and exciting setting that mimics the ways chemistry is used in the real world!
Through a variety of escape room-themed activities, students will be able to translate what we are learning in class to real-world scenarios that will allow them to enjoy learning while reinforcing the content so they remember it throughout the year!
The best way to increase understanding of the world around us is to relate what we are learning to that world and setting chemistry in the context of real-world problems will help my students grow even stronger both as critical thinkers and in science in general. My students already work hard to tackle the concepts of chemistry, but could achieve even more if given the chance to apply their knowledge more frequently through problem-solving specifically designed to help them with application and use of the content!
