All students have different learning styles and personalities. Many students have trouble focusing for a long period of time. Each and every year, I find students in my classroom who prefer to stand and write, write on the floor, sit on cushioned crates, and some even like to lay down on the carpet while they work.
I want to offer my students more flexible options to comfortably learn. With alternative and flexible seating, I hope students will be able to wobble their worries out while taking a test, while working with a new partner, or just to help them focus while independently reading a new book.
