I'm a fifth grade teacher in an urban school district in Connecticut. Although we live in a wealthy state these children come from very low income families. Everyday the children at my school are supplied breakfast, a snack, and lunch; for some these meals are the best of the day. These children look to school as their "Safe Place." I hope to make the student feel comfortable and look forward to coming to school by fostering learning, being compassionate, and learning about each of my students academic and personal needs.

About my class
