Each student will receive a 1 inch binder, folders for each class with 2 pockets, a pencil pouch, mechanical pencils, and colored pencils. That way the students can stay organized whether they are doing school work in the building or at home. The math manipulatives which includes algebra tiles and rainbow fraction cubes will be used to help the students review what they have learned in math by doing hands on activities. All of my students are below grade level in reading and math so the items on this list will help students be able to continue practicing their reading and math skills. The calculators will be used to help the students practice their math skills on their IEP. The highlighters will be used in the classroom to help teach the students how to highlight important information while they are practicing their reading comprehension skills. The clipboards will be used so that the students can move around the classroom easier and work on their assignments in groups. The clipboards would also be sent home with students so they have something to write on if we ended up having to go online. I want students to be able to have enough supplies that if we need to move to remote learning that they have everything they need at home to be successful while they are away from school.
The 5 in binders, sheet protectors, and manilla folders will be used by the teacher to keep the students classwork organized. It is important for me to collect data on each student daily and keep it organized so that I can present that data at the student's IEP meetings.
