Good afternoon donors. My name is Ms. Dial and I’m the library media specialist at GHS. The materials that I’m requesting are greatly needed to modernize the school library. Currently, our media center houses outdated resources and unfortunately, our school lacks the funds to purchase anything.
It’s very important that every school has a printer/scanner/copier in its media center. Unfortunately, our media center lacks this. On so many occasions, students visited the media center in need to use a printer/scanner/copier for educational purposes. Because our media center lacks a printer/scanner/copier, many of these students where not able to complete their work.
In terms of being outdated, our media center is just that. We only have 15 desktop computers. These computers are missing keys off the keyboards, in addition to lacking mouse pads. This makes navigation on the computer difficult.
Our media center also lack other valuable resources which include headphones (use by students who take online classes, educational DVDS, storage furniture for magazines/newspapers, USB drives and shelving items(laminating pouches and address labels).
As mentioned above, the items requested are needed to modernize our media center and promote reading learning. Become part of the movement that can bring about that change.
