In my classroom, the Chromebooks will provide students with access to a wide variety of Google based learning programs. Using Google Classroom, students will be able to access resources and complete assignments that I have created. On Google Docs and Google Slides, students will type writing assignments and create presentations for a variety of projects. With Google Forms, I will be able to have students takes quizzes, complete surveys, and prepare for state tests.
The Chromebooks will also be used for other online based learning programs for math and literacy, such as MobyMax, Zearn, and Wonders Online. These programs allow individualized learning for each student which will help them to achieve their full potential.
"We're changing the world with technology" (Bill Gates). In our world today, technology is all around us. Adding Chromebooks to our classroom resources will not only increase students' engagement in learning but it will also provide low income students with access to technology who do not otherwise have these resources available to them.
