Donations to this project will give my classroom two Apple iPad mini 2 tablets. My students will have access to the technology they need and would otherwise not have. I already have one personal iPad that I will be bringing to my classroom, but hoped to receive two more to have a total of three. With these three iPads, my students will be able to use RAZ for reading and comprehension, Front Row, and research projects. With the high demand of technology in our world today this gives those students the opportunity to broaden their horizons with iPads incorporated into our room.
They struggle to complete projects and do research because most have to go to the public library to have access to computers. Many of my students also attend our after school program until late in the evening because they have full time working parents which leaves little to no time for them to get to the library most days if at all.
