My dual language classroom is made up Latino and African-American kindergartners who are eager to learn and experience new things. At least half of my class consists of English-language learners and many come from low income households. Our school is not located in the best of neighborhoods and my students often have to deal with challenges in their environment. Despite these hardships, I work hard to give my students an inviting place to learn, play, and grow in order for them to be successful in life.
