Much language learning can and does take place through naturally occurring conversation; this is true of the classroom as well as of the home. Being challenged by a few new features at a time, gives us the opportunity to grow as language users without feeling overwhelmed. An iPad offers an interactive way to obtain language through the use of programs, games, e-books, and videos! It also helps connect students by providing definitions, examples, illustrations, modeling, demonstrations, context clues, and so forth. It links words to concepts as you teach. They can also be used as personal dictionaries, thesauruses, in addition to other language components such as listening, speaking, reading and writing!
