My school is located in a suburb of a major city. We educate approximately 650 students from very diverse backgrounds. We are a Title I school, meaning over half of our students come from low-income homes. Many of our students speak languages other than English at home. Often times our students only have access to books through our school, the local library, and its bookmobile. The one thing they have in common is their need for quality reading materials and someone to ignite that spark for them to become lifelong readers and learners.
