My classroom is an energetic, eager to learn, and hilarious class of 4th grade students in the vibrant and proud Little Village neighborhood on the Southwest side of Chicago. All of the students are way ahead of most of us in the United States and speak two languages, both English and Spanish! Our classroom is bilingual, and we celebrate every day how exciting it is for them to have access to so much more of their world because they can understand more than one language. Our classroom is a happy and supportive space, and we are very fortunate to have access to some technology and other tools that help us to learn. However, we could still use some help to have all of the supplies that we need to reach their full potential as the brilliant, bilingual, future world changers that they are!
