My program serves students who are Autistic (IFL) or a student with Autism (PFL) . They are in middle school. The biggest struggle we see is in the areas of social, emotional, or behavioral development. The student can access between 1 class to a full day in the general education setting. The specific needs of each student are vast. We work daily to increase confidence, self-acceptance, and security within our students.
Our students' special interest, creative side, and ability to work together are one of the best things to watch evolve in this program. We work hard to create a supportive community within our program that extends out into the school. We continue to partner with teachers to increase our ability to support our students in the general education setting, special program, and enhancement classes by creating an inclusive environment with creative solutions to our most common areas of struggle.
