Many of these materials will be used in order to create a reading nook/decompression space in my classroom. As of right now, many materials I already own will be put into the classroom like a class library, full of different genre of books, comfy seats for desk-optional seating, plants to add vibrancy and life, and posters that range in writing tips to inspirational to geographical. Other materials will be use by students for in-person learning. Especially since many students may not have had access to these in 2 years, because of remote learning. Providing materials creates less barriers for families who may need help providing them on their own.
Thinking is to creation, as a classroom is to learning; and being able to think, create, and learn in one space can be life changing.
