My students love coming together each morning to do our Morning Meeting. This is a chance for my students to connect with me and their peers daily and for us to build classroom climate and community in our space. Beyond our morning routine, we would like to add a new carpet to redesign our learning space.
This will allow us to practice our collaboration skills with our during class lessons/discussions, heighten engagement in literacy and math centers, and to become a true center of inquiry as we interact with stories and technology to support learning Kindergarten skills and content.
We would like to add a carpet that has ample space for all 25 students to sit and move about. We are not looking to just decorate the space; we want to use the space in more innovative ways to amplify student collaboration and learning.
