My kids need tables to replace old desks to allow for them to utilize materials as they work collaboratively.
Worksheets are a thing of the past; our kids use charts, sentence strips, dry erase markers, highlighting tape, and manipulatives for reading, writing, problem solving, and engaging in accountable talk.
This requires space to spread out. Single desks with different height levels can make it very difficult, especially with all of our materials. Although many kids also prefer the floor, this isn't always a doable option with 24 children in a classroom. Therefore, it would be nice to have tables to allow for many groups to work simultaneously.
