Over the years I have often heard teachers tell their students to sit down all day in their classroom chairs. These chairs are not the most comfortable chairs, and they don't meet the needs of every student. In my classroom of awesome 7-8 year olds, I have a few that have been tested for ADHD or have a sensory processing disorder. I don't expect these students to be able to learn anything if I can't and won't allow them to move as they need to or sit comfortably. That's where the bean bag chairs and big pillows come in. While I'm teaching, I won't have to worry if the students are paying attention or are comfortable. Helping to support this project will help support the needs of my students.
