Just as students learn in different ways, students' bodies are also the most engaged in different ways. While some like to sit in a chair at a desk, others prefer to sit on the floor or at a group table. Some need to move and change positions to maintain focus throughout the day. Unfortunately I currently have 33 individual desks in my room which leaves little to no room for flexible seating. I hope to replace most of those desks with various flexible seating options so each student can choose a place in the classroom where she/he is most able to succeed.
