These materials are adding to the classroom flexible seating model. The students are given the ability to come in each day and pick how they want to learn, what they want to sit on and where they will be for the day. This allows them to not only use their communication and problem solving skills with their classmates daily but also creates the power of choice and independence in their learning. It has created a positive start to the day which feeds to the rest of the day. We have seen higher engagement, more consistent attendance and a sense of ownership the students share in "our" classroom. We want to continue this as well as give more choices which will allow us to meet each students preferences as well as more students each year.
