With our new building comes a new library, with more space to add more programs and reach more students. The first thing I want to add to the library is more STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) learning through a Makerspace in the library. A Makerspace is place where students can create, inquire, explore, build, and collaborate. With this Makerspace, my students will begin to associate the library with technology and discovery, not just books. Students will also build their collaboration and problem solving skills that will be help them be successful in every subject. This Makerspace will be open for all students in grades K-4.
