I have the honor of teaching art at an incredible middle school in Austin's East Side. I teach around 200 students in 7th and 8th grade who come to my classroom to study and create art. Although my students come to school with a variety of challenges, these kids LOVE ART! We have a population of incredibly gifted young artists and I take my job as their art teacher very seriously. I am passionate about creating equitable fine arts opportunities for ALL students, regardless of their ethnicity, gender, native language, or socioeconomic status. These children simply want to create meaningful art!
About my class
