I am a first year teacher and I am asking for books to help build my own classroom library. These books will help my students have more opportunities to read as well as get physical books in their hands. Currently my students read digital books. Having books in the classroom will help students be able to choose age appropriate and leveled physical books to read during our independent and read to someone reading times. Having physical books will also help to decrease the amount of time my students spend looking at a screen. Additionally my students love the feel of physical books and enjoy the feeling of turning the pages.
