I teach in a Multiple Disability Classroom for 3rd-5th grade in an urban setting. All of my students receive special education services for multiple disabilities, and each of them has educational needs that I am striving to meet. My students enjoy hands-on and engaging activities, and they like consistency in the classroom.
In my classroom, my students are seen for their abilities and not their disability.
My school is a Title I school in our state, and more than half of the students in my school receive free lunch. My school also sends food home with some of our students on the weekends to help the families with food costs.
