I teach Kindergarten to 25 young and eager children in a Title One school in a NYC public school in Queens. My school is truly a "melting pot" of cultures.
Many of my students are English Language Learners and need to have many opportunities to explore and practice skills that they will need as they move through their academic and personal lives.
Budget cuts have made anything except bare basics impossible. My children need and deserve more. Most of them are first generation Americans and their families are struggling to survive. They want the best for their children but technology is a luxury, not a necessity for them.
I want to bring the world to my students so that they can take their place in the world.
