Having been in the teaching trenches of Chicago's low economic neighborhoods, I receive first hand insight as to what students and families face each day. Students are faced with a multitude of challenges and I must see to it that student learning still occurs. I believe that children are entitled to a first class education no matter their circumstances, no matter their race, gender or where they happen to reside. I believe in providing equitable and quality education for all children and where outstanding teachers will go far limits to do just that.

About my class
