A new year in 2nd grade has just begun and my classroom is full of energetic little 7 year olds ready to absorb as much knowledge as their little brains can carry. It is my job to ensure that the activities and projects that we undertake are exciting and meaningful.
These young learners are fortunate enough to go to a school that is not title one, but because of that our classroom is not funded the way a title one school would be.
My group of students range from high, average and low academic levels and our classroom is limited in the amount of supplies to aid in meeting their needs.
I have a colorful group of students who come from different parts of the globe (Middle East, Asia, Africa, Hawaii and other U.S. States). We are very lucky to have students who come from diverse places as it has already enriched our learning environment with experiences that some of us aren't able to attain.
