I teach science to sixth and eighth graders at a middle school that was built in 1965. We serve about 700 students from sixth to eighth grade. We are a Title 1 school where all the students are offered free breakfast and lunch.
My students are all incredibly hard-working and deserving individuals.
My students are as capable as all other students in the nation. I just want to give them the same opportunities. Even though every day is full of challenges and despite their socio-economic status, they always have a true desire to learn.
