I'm convinced that I work with some of the best students in the world. They are inquisitive, hard working, creative, compassionate, and talented. In addition to learning English, many of my students speak Spanish, Somali, Nepali, or Oromo. The students love to learn through hands on activities, technology, visuals, narratives conversation, writing, and music. All Andersen students receive free and reduced lunch. Some are coming to our school after they have lived in refugee camps. Some are living in shelters, waiting to find stable housing. Education is one of the greatest tools to empower them. All Andersen students want to be successful and make their families proud. All my students are scholars, authors, engineers, and historians. It is truly an honor to teach these future leaders. Your generosity will encourage and empower us.
