As a teacher, I am always wondering, what can I do to get my students "hooked on learning" and how can I grasp their attention on various subject areas? This can be especially challenging if the students do not like the content area I am teaching. Over the years I have realized that young children overall are very visual and kinesthetic learners, and as a Special Education teacher, those learning styles are even more prominent in my room. This means that my students need a lot of visual stimulation to grasp and keep their attention, as well as getting them excited about learning new things.
