My students are deserving of a classroom full of resources that can meet all of their needs. The materials listed will allow my students to be successful on tasks that they might not otherwise be able to complete. The sensory table, fidgets and chairs will allow for flexible seating and sensory stimulation, which will enable my students to release their energy in productive ways and ultimately be able to focus on improving their reading and math skills.
Structure and consistency are important components of any Special Education classroom, and the materials such as the spot markers and the laminating pouches will be used to help my students follow their schedules and gradually gain independence in our classroom.
Oftentimes my students experience sensory overload, getting overwhelmed by loud sounds, large groups of people, etc. The tennis balls will be placed on the bottoms of their chairs to reduce the amount of noise and distractions in the classroom.
My students are extremely deserving of a classroom that can meet all of their individual needs. They need these additional supports and resources to meet their goals. These materials will help our classroom be one that is fun and engaging, while also organized and structured.
