I teach 33 low income kindergarteners in an urban school district. All of the students that attend my school receive free breakfast and lunch on a daily basis. The students I work with are exposed to extreme amounts of violence and some have families that are unable to support them financially. These students are lacking the materials they need to be successful in the classroom, especially with our school district's tight budget. My students appreciate every donation our classroom receives and everything that comes into our classroom is put to good use.
