We are at a Title 1 school in Arizona. My students are on the lower economic side, with parents who are in jail or may have never finished high school. So for those six hours a day that I spend with them I give them what they need. Some of my students do not have the luxury of sitting down with their parents and reading a book, so it is my job to not only give them what they need in class, but give them what they need at home. I encourage my students everyday to read.
