A large majority of our student population (in the upper 90%) are on free and reduced lunch. They live in subsidized housing with little around them for such an urban area. Yet everyday when they come to school and are greeted with a smile, a high-five, a hug, their faces lighten up. They are glad to be there and even if they don't want to admit it, we all know they are thankful for this chance.
