I have 15 students all with individual needs and unique abilities. Every student has capabilities, talents, and strengths; sometimes, all it takes is exposure and motivation from those around them. The students in my class strive for excellence and work hard everyday. This project will help my students be able to stay focused during the school day and be able to receive their sensory input. My students benefit from flexible seating such as wobbly stools and lap desks because it allows them to choose appropriate seating to suit their needs and promote learning and positive on-task behavior. Sensory input through the use of water beads and sensorial tools allows all my students but especially those whom need sensory input throughout the day to benefit from sensory toys to stimulate their sensory needs and be able to promote learning throughout the day.
This project will benefit 15 amazing and unique students with individual needs!
Being a first year Special Education Teacher and starting my classroom- this project will help my students walk into their first day of their new classroom and feel more comfortable and at ease thanks to the flexible seating and sensory material needed for each individual.
Thank you so much for considering giving to our project! We are so grateful for your kindness and generosity!
