I teach at a wonderful school just south of Seattle where 79% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch and a majority of them are bilingual. I teach middle school band and orchestra.
Our goal is to bring light to various cultures through music education as well as creating an accessible art form that all can understand and succeed in.
This is my third year teaching, and my second year in a brand new building. We need lots of support in order to provide my students with an equitable and high functioning music experience. I am determined to help my students and program by finding ways to obtain these materials that will elevate their music education.
