My students are often lacking the resources for them to be successful learners at home and at school. I often provide them snacks (you can't learn on an empty stomach!) and school supplies. The other items will be used the variety of learners in my class-- some may learn better by listening to books (headphones), some may learn better while they fidget with a toy (fidget toys), and some need visuals and the ability to create to learn (printer, markers, paper). But, we can all agree that if our most basic needs aren't being met, learning is nearly impossible. That's where the supplies like crackers, no-sugar added fruit snacks, and Kleenex come into play. During flu season we run through a LOT of tissue! My students deserve the best and they deserve to learn in an environment where they feel taken care of. Please help me provide that to them.
