This project would SIGNIFICANTLY improve our library. I allow students to borrow books regularly from my library because they have little to no exposure to texts outside of my classroom. Students will also be able to take home and keep their Time for Kids magazine each week. Fulfilling this project goal will put HIGH-QUALITY texts into the hands of 45 fourth graders. Data has shown time and time again that reading authentic, interesting texts daily best improves reading ability. On average, my students are reading two to three grade levels below the typical fourth grader. Please help me help my struggling readers!
