We are a Title I school, with almost 95% of our children coming from families with incomes below the federal poverty level. The neighborhood surrounding the school does not have any parks or public recreational facilities within close walking distance. Many students must get dedicated physical fitness time at school. Our students' families do not have the means to provide special extra-curricular, afterschool activities that inspire creative learning.
