Thank you for visiting my page! I teach math to over 150 students at an Urban public high school in South Los Angeles. Many students are skeptical of their math abilities. However, I aim to inspire my students to view themselves as mathematicians who can problem-solve by continuously celebrating their growth and creating relevant math lessons for their lives. This provides students with the space to embrace their math identities. Further, my goal is to inspire students to take the skills they learn in my class to critically think about their positionality. Through rigorous content, I support students in achieving their full potential in math understanding by creating student-centered lessons filled with collaboration.
