In our curriculum, we have lessons on money. We teach our students about the value of money and how to exchange it for goods and services. It would be wonderful to have our students open a grocery store and learn about the value of money! They can use the baskets of food to sell to their customers. They will have so much fun using the magnetic money and cash register to ring up the purchases. Also, they will learn how to combine dollar bills and coins to add up to different values.
Our students can be more engaged in learning when the lesson is hands-on and dramatic play is an added bonus.
Students can learn to add and subtract money. They can learn to stock the grocery items and work on their fine motor skills. These materials will be able to help my students become college and career ready! The Play & Learn Grocery Store Financial Literacy Kit will be a great resource for my students to work on their vocational skills.
