It is extremely hard for an adult to stay seated in one spot, much less a child who is trying to focus on learning to their full potential. Our students have less focus than students did just a decade ago. It is our job to help meet their needs and to help them achieve all of their learning goals. Allowing them flexible seating options will allow my students choice and various options to choose from.
To move into more research driven "student-centered" learning, giving students flexible seating options is imperative for their academic and social growth. Research has shown that giving students choices allows them to take ownership and more responsibility through helping build classroom culture and rapport with their peers. We need your help in getting our kids minds off of uncomfortable furniture, and back on learning! Please help us do this by helping us make the switch to Flexible Seating.
