We can break up into small groups and do guiding reading and independent reading. Reading is an important skills for kindergarten. At this age students are learning critical language and enunciation skills. By listenning to someone read whether it is me or their parent, they are hearing basic sounds that form language. Also, by reading everyday, they are more likely to express themselves and relate to others in a healthy way. Students that are exposed to reading are more likely to do well in all facets of formal education, and given a love for reading. They develop stronger self-discipline, longer attention span, and better memory retention.
