Chromebooks in my classroom would be an excellent assistive technology device to use for interactive math and literature; apps like IXL.com, Storylineonline.com, abcya.com, mathplayground.com, Headsprout.com, learning A-Z.com, and so many more. The Chromebooks will allow my special education students access to more resources to aide in their learning, the ability to look up information for projects, the capability to create power points and story boards. They will have the ability to practice new skills, have repetitive learning of already learned skills, have access to screen readers, audio books, music, text-to-speech, and speech-to-text, and much more! Chromebooks allow my students to work without distractions, at their own ability levels while supporting their individual needs. They also allow for electronic data tracking, and access to additional learning resources for the educational staff.
