My students need resources that provide them with higher level learning opportunities.
With the resources I am seeking, my students will have the opportunity to practice using hands-on materials to explore with their senses, build concrete understanding of mathematic, scientific, and alphabetic concepts. With these resources, my students will have the opportunity to manipulate and immerse themselves in their learning.
The National Association for the Education of Young Children recognizes the ability to participate in engaging and concrete play-based learning as a leading approach in academic growth. Adding these items to our classroom will provide for conversations as well as the opportunity to practice working together and sharing materials as children play together, engaging in conversation about academic topics as well as pretend play which also helps to foster creativity.
