Hello!I teach Modern World History and Gender Studies at Lincoln High School. As students absorb our rapidly changing world, my goal is to prioritize providing time and space for these kids to explore and develop their personal, academic, social, and political identities. By having a student-centered and "hands-on"approach, and by placing experience and choice at the heart of my curriculum, I hope to foster personal accountability, self esteem, and empathy in each child. At its best and most authentic, learning should be inspiring, lead to further questions, and above all, it should be exciting! As their opinions as well as their sense of self and justice gain formidable momentum, my aim is to create an atmosphere of wonder, humor, and kindness in my classroom and among my students, all the while maintaining a steadfast commitment to rigor and high academic standards.
