This year I will be teaching 8th grade math and a CTE computer science elective. My students will complete projects throughout the year that engage in design thinking, an approach to projects that focuses on developing empathy and critical thinking skills. My goal is to create a classroom environment that dismantles deficit thinking and instead is centered around personal and academic growth.
