As a first year teacher, I am excited to work with a diverse class of fifth grade students. The majority of students at our school have military connections because we are located near a major military installation. In addition, over half of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch. We do receive Title I funding, however; budgets are tight and the need for basic school supplies is great.
